Walter Virden, III, a graduate of Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business, is a Certified Public Accountant/Personal Financial Specialist, and a Certified Financial Planner (r) designee. He started his professional career as a staff accountant with a local Dallas CPA firm, and in 1969, established his practice in Arlington. In 1999, Anneta Chapman and Walter Virden IV joined the firm to form Virden, Chapman & Virden, PLLC.
Walter is an active member of his church on local, diocesan, national and international levels. He is past President of the Rotary Club of Arlington, Past President, Board of Trustees for the Arlington Museum of Art and is the current Treasurer of the Arlington Rotary Foundation. He has also served in leadership positions for numerous community organizations. In addition, the firm is a contributing member of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce. He has 3 grown children and 8 grandchildren.
Anneta Chapman is a graduate of Texas Tech University and has worked with Walter Virden, III since November 1978 and is a Personal Financial Specialist and a Certified Financial Planner. She is a member of the Texas Society of CPA’s and the American Institute of CPA’s.
Anneta is a member of First Baptist Church-Arlington, served on the PTA Board in Mansfield and has managed competitive soccer teams for 10 years. She is married with two grown children and in her spare time loves to travel.
Walter Virden, IV. is a graduate of Arlington High School and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from The University of the South (Sewanee). In 1997, he became a Certified Public Accountant and holds NASD Series 7 and Series 66 Licenses as well as his Personal Financial Specialist Designation. He is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Walter is a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Ft. Worth and currently serves as Treasurer. Walter is married to Robyn and they have two children, Walter and Henry. In his free time Walter enjoys running, swimming, gardening, music, and coaching.
